Renee Baio reveals she was diagnosed with a brain disease

Renee Baio revealed on Twitter that she has been diagnosed with a brain disease — just one month after her husband Scott Baio was accused of sexual misconduct.

The stuntwoman and actress was questioned about her health by a fan on Twitter Saturday when she revealed that in October, she was diagnosed with Microvascular Brain Disease — which leads to reduced supply of blood to the brain tissue.

Renee Baio, 45, was previously diagnosed with two brain tumors back in 2014.

“Besides having 2 meningioma brain tumors, in Oct 2017 I also learned I have Microvascular Brain Disease,” she wrote on Twitter.

Her husband of 11 years, Scott Baio, 57, confirmed the news on his own Twitter account.

“Unfortunately, this is true. Renee is forever my rock, my life & my soulmate! Toughest person I know,” he wrote.

Microvascular Brain Disease is also called chronic small vessel ischemic disease, is often correlated with chronic illnesses including hypertension, diabetes, multiple sclerosis or high blood pressure. Symptoms can include tiny strokes, but some patients never experience any symptoms at all.

The news comes after Scott Baio was accused of molesting “Charles in Charge” co-star Nicole Eggert between when she was 14 and 17.

The actor denied the accusations, calling them “100% lies” in a lengthy Facebook Live video filmed by his wife, Renee, on Jan. 27.

In an interview with “Good Morning America” to defend himself amid the accusations, Baio pointed out that the most difficult part of the controversy was having his wife and daughter caught up in it.

“I have a 10-year-old daughter. And my 10-year-old daughter does not need to be hearing about this from friends at school these false allegations,” he said. “Her job is not to defend me. My job is to defend my daughter. Her job is to be 10 years old and that's why this has got to stop. “
