'Star Wars' icon Mark Hamill receives Hollywood Walk of Fame star alongside Harrison Ford, George Lucas and R2D2

From "Star Wars" to his very own star!

Harrison Ford and George Lucas paid tribute to the real-life Luke Skywalker on Thursday as Mark Hamill received his own spot on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"This is a lot more people than showed up for my star," said Ford in his signature deep deadpan. "A lot more."

Hamill -- a "quiet, sincere, honest person," Ford said -- couldn't help slipping a dad joke into his own remarks: "Words truly fail me," he said. "I haven't been this speechless since 'Force Awakens.'"

It's been more than 40 years since Lucas chose Ford and Hamill as his leading men in 1977's "Star Wars," joined by the late Carrie Fisher.

Thousands of fans packed the area in an attempt to see the three men together, a rare sight these days: Lucas is much less involved in the film franchise, especially since selling Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012, and Ford's iconic Han Solo (spoiler alert) met his end in 2015's "The Force Awakens."

Although 2017's "The Last Jedi" led most to believe that Hamill will not play a prominent role in the as-yet-untitled "Star Wars: Episode IX," he is currently attached to pre-production for the 2019 film.
