Bobby Brown on Whitney Houston: 'I don't think she died from drugs'

Earlier this month marked the sixth anniversary of Whitney Houston's death, and in a new interview with Rolling Stone,Bobby Brown opened up about his years in the music industry and the tragic endings for his late wife and their daughter Bobbi Kristina.

When asked about what caused Houston's death in February 2012, he said he believes she died from a broken heart. “She was a great woman,” he said, adding that he doesn’t believe there were drugs in her system. "I don't think she died from drugs."

Brown also said justice still hasn’t been served in the July 2015 death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina, as Nick Gordon -- found “legally responsible” -- is still free.

So what keeps Brown going and keeps him sober? “The love for my kids,” he said of his six other children. "The love that they give me. My older kids know everything about me and they still love me. [Laughs] The love of my wife for her loving me the way she does and holding me down the way she does has been everything for me. It's been my rock. When I did get sober, I knew that I wasn't going to turn back."

The former New Edition member begins shooting The Bobby Brown Story miniseries next week, airing this fall on BET.
