Joy-Anna Duggar is a mom: 20-year-old welcomes her first child with husband Austin Forsyth

Another Duggar baby has officially joined the family.

Joy-Anna Duggar, 20, welcomed her first child on February 23 -- just short of nine months to the day of her wedding, which was in May 2017. She and husband Austin Forsyth are now parents to Gideon Martyn Forsyth, 10 pounds, 3 ounces.

The two revealed their pregnancy not long after their Switzerland honeymoon: “We’re so happy and thankful to announce that we’re expecting a baby. Every child is such a precious gift from God,” Duggar told Us Weekly in August 2017.

The young couple met after Forsyth's family moved to Arkansas and began attending the Duggar family church. They were friends for 15 years before entering a courtship (which is how the Duggars refer to pre-engagement dating).
