All of Nicole Kidman's Academy Awards looks since 1994 -- the good, the bad and the 'what?'

Most of us would be happy to attend the Academy Awards just once, but for Nicole Kidman, the Oscars are old news -- she's been hitting the red carpet for more than 25 years!

Nicole's first Oscars appearance was in 1991, when she accompanied then-boyfriend Tom Cruise to the 63rd annual ceremony. Unfortunately, her style was stuck in the '80s -- a velour mini dress and black tights made for a very amateur look for Hollywood's biggest night.

But Nicole learned from her mistakes, and over the years, her Oscars style has gradually improved -- save for a few mishaps.

Special notice has to go to a few standout looks: The star's vibrant 1997 gown by Dior divided critics, but it's gone down as one of the most memorable Oscars looks in history. And many consider her bold red 2006 ensemble to be one of her best looks of all time.

But it wasn't so long ago that Nicole suffered a major miss: In 2011, her spiky hair, structured gown and red peep-toe heels made for a pretty severe fashion fail.

Check out all of Nicole Kidman's Academy Awards looks in the gallery above.
