Ellen takes on Donald Trump for attacking Oprah

When it comes to Oprah Winfrey and Donald Trump's feud, Ellen Degeneres is unsurprisingly Team Oprah.

Ellen called out Trump on Thursday following his attack on Winfrey in a tweet following her "60 minutes" interview with Michigan voters regarding America’s political divide.

"Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes," Trump wrote. "The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!"

Not taking the president's tweet lightly, on Thursday’s show Ellen said, "President Trump, it’s time for an a-ha moment. You’re not just some guy on Twitter anymore -- you’re the president for all of us. It is your job to unite people, and you don’t do it by attacking people, especially Oprah."

Oprah appeared on the show a bit later, and when Ellen asked her about it, she said, "I woke up and I just thought ... I don’t like giving negativity power. So I just thought, 'What?'"

Donald Trump has yet to respond.
