Has NBC's Andy Lack barred Ronan Farrow from NBC?

Updated

The drama at NBC isn't just for scripted programming.

Page Six reports that all may not be settled between top NBC exec Andy Lack and ex-NBC reporter Ronan Farrow. Farrow was slated to appear on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show on Friday, but he was scrapped suddenly from the lineup before air -- allegedly because Lack is "still fuming" over NBC's role in the Weinstein fallout.

The network faced intense scrutiny following Farrow's bombshell Harvey Weinstein investigation, which was published by the New Yorker in 2017. Lack, in particular, took major heat for reportedly passing on Farrow's exclusive. He has maintained that when NBC declined to cover the story, it was because it was not yet up to NBC's editorial standards.

Farrow was supposed to appear on Maddow's show Friday to discuss his latest piece for the New Yorker, a deep-dive into President Trump's alleged affair with with former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal.

Other insiders told the publication that Farrow was booted simply to make room for breaking Russia indictment news.
