Details of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Valentine's Day date revealed

Updated

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just celebrated their first (and only) Valentine's Day as an engaged couple -- and they definitely did it right!

Since Valentine's Day fell in the middle of the week, the two wisely opted to push their date night to Friday. That's when they made their way to London's Victoria Palace Theatre, where they caught an evening performance of "Hamilton."

The musical famously mocks Prince Harry's ancestor, King George III -- but Harry took the royal jabs in stride, according to an audience member who told the Daily Mail, "They seemed to love it and were applauding enthusiastically."

"Was an honor to have Prince Harry and Megan Markle in to watch last night!" tweeted cast member Leslie Garcia Bowman.

Last year, upon news that "Hamilton" would debut in London's West End theater district, creator Lin-Manuel Miranda said hosting the royals in the audience "would be an absolute treat -- obviously it would be an honor for us."

Although it's been running since 2015, it's still quite difficult to snag "Hamilton" tickets. In New York, the lowest price for a day-of resale ticket typically hovers around $325 and can surpass $2,500.
