Kathy Griffin makes first red carpet appearance since infamous fallout: 'Feels great to be back'
Kathy Griffin is making her return.
Nine months after her near-exile from Hollywood -- she publicly asserted that she'd been blacklisted -- Kathy Griffin hit the red carpet Sunday night for the annual Writer's Guild Awards. And she wasn't just there to show face: The comic also got stage time, making her way up to the podium to present an award.
"My first red carpet event since last May!" Kathy proudly captioned an Instagram. On a separate photo, she added, "Feels great to be back."

Kathy buzzed off her signature red hair months ago in support of her cancer-stricken sister, Joyce, who unfortunately passed away late last year. She's still wearing her locks cropped short.
In combination with her short style, a spaghetti-strap black column gown and a statement bangle made for a striking look.
Kathy has been vocal about her desire to return to the Hollywood circuit. In recent months, she's successfully sold out venues abroad, taking her standup through Australia, Asia and Europe. It' seems quite possible that 2018 will bring Kathy back into the American spotlight.
