LAPD sends three more Harvey Weinstein cases to DA

Los Angeles County prosecutors have received three more cases against Harvey Weinstein to consider for criminal charges.

"Three cases have been presented to our office by the Los Angeles Police Department regarding Mr. Weinstein and are under review," Los Angeles County District Attorney spokesman Greg Risling said Thursday.

Risling didn't comment on the substance of the cases or when prosecutors might make a decision on filing charges.

The new cases come a little more than a month after Beverly Hills Police sent two cases to the same county prosecutors for consideration.

More than 100 women, including actresses Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lupita Nyong'o, Annabella Sciorra, Salma Hayek and Uma Thurman have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct ranging from harassment to rape.

Cops in California, New York and London quickly launched criminal probes and began speaking with possible victims and witnesses.

In Los Angeles, the cases are being reviewed by a task force set up by DA Jackie Lacey to handle any criminal complaints arising from alleged sex abuse in the entertainment industry.

Many accounts claim Weinstein's alleged assaults occurred at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

An accuser identified only as Jane Doe claimed in a lawsuit filed Nov. 14 that Weinstein attacked her twice inside the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The woman claims Weinstein gripped her wrist and forced her to watch him masturbate in 2015 and then raped her in the hotel in 2016.

In a blanket statement, Weinstein has denied all allegations of nonconsensual sex.
