Alicia Vikander talked to Prince William about 'The Crown' during Swedish royal tour

Alicia Vikander was bold enough to ask Prince William about The Crown.

The Oscar winner attended a reception dinner at British Ambassador David Cairns' residence in Stockholm, Sweden, last week during Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal tour of Sweden and Norway.

During the formal event, Vikander was seated between Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and the Duke of Cambridge, and in conversation, brought up the hit Netflix series that dramatically recounts William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II's, early life.

"Well, I've seen The Crown," Vikander said during a recent interview with Norwegian talk show host Fredrik Skavlan. "It was actually the first thing my friend and I started talking about with William. Apparently he's a Game of Thrones fan, I was told."

The Danish Girl star also recalled being "very hungry" and having to wait to touch her food.

"I was sitting there looking around me. I guessed that you were supposed to wait, but I was very hungry," she joked. "Normally if you're more than 10 people, you're allowed to start eating, but nobody else did, so I held back. I didn't even have a sip of water because I thought, 'No, I'll just wait.'"

Vikander will next star as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, scheduled to arrive in theaters on Match 16. Watch the trailer above.
