Justin Timberlake avoids controversial 'Rock Your Body' lyric during Super Bowl Halftime Show

Justin Timberlake pulled out all the hits in a dance-filled Super Bowl Pepsi Halftime Show on Sunday night.

The 37-year-old sang solo hits from every one of his four studio albums, including "Cry Me A River," "Mirrors," "Filthy" and "Can't Stop The Feeling," which provided the performance with a colorful finale.

The performance started underneath the U.S. Bank Stadium in a makeshift club with Timberlake performing "Filthy," his latest single. His voice was barely audible though, as there were noticeable audio issues to kick off the show.

He then walked up some stairs and into the stadium as he started singing "Rock Your Body." Dancing down a runway, he made his way onto the field while singing the 2002 hit.

"Rock Your Body" is the song that Timberlake performed with Janet Jackson at the 2004 Super Bowl before he famously ripped part of her shirt to reveal her breast after singing the lyric, "Bet I have you naked by the end of this song." On Sunday night, though, he notably switched songs to "Señorita" before he sang that lyric.

Speculation had mounted that Jackson would return to the Super Bowl stage with Timberlake, but both stars shut down those rumors ahead of the performance. There were also rumors that Timberlake's former group, NSYNC, would appear, but those were also put to rest.

The only special appearance came in the form of a video showing the late singer, Prince, performing, which provided Timberlake with a virtual duet of "I Would Die 4 U" with the former Halftime Show performer. Though it wasn't a hologram as rumored, it was still a controversial move that sparked a divided discussion on Twitter.

Clad in a leather jacket with fringe, camo pants, a printed button-down and a red bandana around his neck, Timberlake made his way through more of his hits ("Suit & Tie," "SexyBack," "Summer Love") and broke out into a dance break in the center of the field.

He finished the show in the stands dancing and singing to "Can't Stop The Feeling" and had an awkward interaction with a teenage boy while prompting him to take a "Superbowl Selfie" with him.

Before the game on Sunday night, Pink sang the national anthem despite battling the flu.
