Jennifer Lopez suffers a rare style miss with puzzling pin curl updo

Jennifer Lopez legitimately never looks bad. Seriously, she just... always looks great. But there's no doubt that she missed the mark on Wednesday with a daring hairstyle that nobody, not even J.Lo, could pull off.

We're not quite sure how the look was assembled, but it appears Lopez's hair was curled and then swept into a French twist -- and then the loose ends were splayed across her forehead like bangs. In other words -- what?

Unsurprisingly, Lopez's face and figure still looked incredible, and her outfit is appropriately dramatic for the fun Guess event. But we just can't stop staring at the hair.

To his credit, boyfriend Alex Rodriguez knows that even when your lady makes a questionable style choice, the right move is to continue admiring her as if nothing looks weird.

Outside of Lopez's strange style, things were awkward for another reason: Hours before the party began, supermodel Kate Upton accused Guess co-founder Paul Marciano of sexual misconduct. According to TMZ, Upton deliberately sent the tweet at the worst possible time for Guess execs.

If Lopez was ruffled by Upton's allegation, she didn't show it during the event, where Marciano was not only present but also publicly gushed about her once he got the mic.
