David Harbour confirms he'll officiate Twitter user's wedding, but 'I wouldn't want to make the day about me'

Here comes the bride -- and look, there's David Harbour!

The "Stranger Things" star has quickly become Twitter's favorite celebrity after declaring his willingness to complete their weirdest, wildest requests. First, he coordinated a photo shoot with a high school student who asked him to be in her senior photos. Next up: Nuptials.

In January, a fan named Ericka successfully passed his requirement of 125,000 retweets to convince Harbour to officiate her September wedding. So it's on -- but will he stay for the reception?

"I was just discussing this with my manager," Harbour told AOL while on set shooting his Super Bowl spot for Tide. "Here's the thing ... I wouldn't want to make the day about me. Clearly the day is about them, their friends, their loved ones. I'd just appear as a party favor."

In his tweet to Ericka, he told her that he'd get ordained and that he must be able to read an "esteemed love letter of my choosing, and after the cake is officially cut, I get the very first piece."

So after the ceremony, "Perhaps I'll go away and let them all have a nice time, and then come back to claim my piece of cake at some point during the party. The risk is that you make an event about you, which would be the most disastrous backfire ever," the Golden Globe nominee told us. "But I've seen pictures of them and they just look like an adorable couple who deserve to be celebrated. And certainly deserve to be married by the Chief of Police of Hawkins, Indiana, don't you think?"

And as far as the "esteemed love letter," "there's some great love poetry by Charles Darwin, the father of evolution. He has some great letters on marriage that are hilarious and true and wonderful," he said. "I like Einstein's theorie about love and the universe and stuff like that ... I have to do some research. I have some initial ideas, but I refuse to be committed at this point."

Really, he said, it's just about putting some positive energy into a place that can be very negative.

"Social media can make you feel all kinds of things that are unpleasant, and I was like, this is just a nice, pleasant thing to put out into the world. What a lovely little thing to do."

Oh, and he'll also get to go to the Antarctic and dance with Emperor penguins. Thanks, Twitter.
