Diddy delivers the hard truth to Dionne Warwick's granddaughter on 'The Four'

There was music royalty in the audience on The Four when Cheyenne Elliott brought her grandma, the legendary Dionne Warwick, to the show. With singers like Dionne and Whitney Houston in her family tree, the pressure was on for Cheyenne.

Cheyenne started off singing “Wings” by Little Mix and after the performance, it was Diddy who was feeling the pressure. “I am sitting here with the pressure of your grandmother being behind me over my left shoulder,” Diddy told her. “I had to ask myself, ‘What would she want me to do?’ And number one, I know she would want me to tell you the truth.”

Diddy didn’t think Cheyenne brought her A-game, but the judges gave her a chance to battle one of the Four anyway. Unfortunately for Lex Lu, she didn’t bring her A-game either. The hip-hop artist forgot some lyrics during her performance of “Bad and Boujee.” Cheyenne’s performance of Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes” was good enough to say goodbye to Lex Lu, and grandma Dionne couldn’t have been prouder. “You were brilliant,” Dionne whispered in Cheyenne’s ear while hugging her. Now we’ll just have to wait and see if Cheyenne can turn this into a successful singing career just like her famous grandma and cousin.

The Fourairs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Fox. Watch clips and full episodes of The Four for free on Yahoo View.
