Golden Globes 2018: Emma Watson, Meryl Streep share the red carpet with awesome female activists

Usually, awards season is all about celebrating Hollywood. But Sunday night's Golden Globes are different -- they're about celebrating powerful women who live far beyond Rodeo Drive.

Emma Watson couldn't stop smiling as she walked the red carpet with her special guest, Marai Larasi, the executive director of U.K.-based women's organization Imkaan. The two of them share something major: "Solidarity, mutual respect," said Larasi, who rocked a black pantsuit.

Another difference on this year's red carpet? Instead of asking "who are you wearing," reporters asked why women were wearing black, allowing everyone to make their voices heard after months of turbulent headlines about sexual harassment and assault.
