Ellen DeGeneres hits back at Eric Trump for dragging her into his conspiracy theory

Ellen DeGeneres has a message for Eric Trump: Please stop pulling me into your weird conspiracy theories.

The talk show host found herself in the middle of political chatter earlier this week when President Trump's son tweeted her supposed involvement with "Deep State," a supposed underground association of powerful figures.

Eric was apparently alarmed when Twitter suggested he follow popular Twitter users Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Ellen DeGeneres. "#DeepState," he wrote alongside a screenshot.

Ellen addressed the odd controversy on her show, telling her audience, "Apparently I’m part of some secret government conspiracy called the ‘Deep State.' It’s supposed to be a group of people that … are trying to undermine Donald Trump, which is ridiculous because no one undermines Donald Trump more than Donald Trump.”
