Luann de Lesseps' ex-husband, Tom D'Agostino, is processing news of de Lesseps' arrest in the town where they wed one year ago.
De Lesseps and D'Agostino tied the knot in Palm Beach on December 31, 2016, and last week, things went off the rails when the newly-divorced de Lesseps made her return: Police found de Lesseps and a man in bed in someone else's hotel room, and when they attempted to make them leave, she threatened to kill the officers.
When D'Agostino heard what happened, he “felt really sad for Luann and her family that they had to go through this over the holidays,” People reports. He was "shocked" to hear that she was in Palm Beach since she has "no ties" to the city other than their 2016 wedding.
The "Real Housewives of New York City" star and the unidentified man, reportedly an ex-boyfriend, entered the room while a maid had the door open to tidy it up. The room's actual occupant found them and contacted police, and the situation escalated from there.
According to police reports, de Lesseps slammed the bathroom door on an officer's forehead and threatened multiple times to kill the officers.
Charges include disorderly intoxication, battery on an officer/firefighter/EMT, resisting arrest with violence and threatening a public servant, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
