Hugh Jackman shares rare details of his 21-year marriage to Deborra-lee Furness
Hugh Jackman is opening up about his marriage of 21 years to Deborra-lee Furness.
In a new interview with People's Jess Cagle, the "Greatest Showman" actor revealed that one of the keys to their successful marriage is simply the fact that they got together before he became a household name.

"One of the great pieces of fortune in my career, it started late, but that Deb and I were already set together, a team, madly in love, like literally before it all happened," Jackman, 49, explained. "We can kind of see all the ups and downs for what they are. Our priority is our family, and we’re there for each other no matter what."
Jackman continued by saying that his love for his wife is what centers him day-to-day.
"Underneath the surface where it's real, and where it's still and where it's deep, that is the love I have with Deb," he said.

The couple, who met in 1995 on the set of "Correlli," shares two children -- Oscar Maximilian, 17, and Ava Eliot, 12 -- both of whom they adopted after Furness suffered two heartbreaking miscarriages.
Jackman went on to explain to People that it's in his biggest moments that he depends on Furness, 62, the most. When he hosted the Academy Awards back in 2009, for example, the actor says that he looked to his wife for strength and courage in a moment when he really needed the support.
"Even at the Oscars, I walk out, I put my hand on my heart and I always look to Deb in the audience," he told Cagle. "Straight afterwards, I will not see anybody in my dressing room until Deb’s been in. Because that is my foundation, that is the rock, that is the foundation of our family, and therefore my life."
