Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning and more weigh in: What's one phrase women should say to each other more often?
2017 has been bumpy, but for the women of Hollywood, it's ending with solidarity.
Female empowerment was the topic of the night at L’Oréal Paris 12th Annual Women of Worth, which took place in New York on Wednesday. Eva Longoria, Hoda Kotb and Gayle King were just a few of the stars on hand to celebrate women across the globe.
AOL hit the red carpet to ask these female powerhouses: What's one phrase women should say to each other more often? Here's what they had to say.
Eva Longoria: "You can do it. You can do it, and you should do it, and you will do it. I think women need confidence and support -- I have an amazing support system. There's a lot of us women in Hollywood who are supporting each other at this time, trying to create change, and it's been magical to see what a community of women can do and the changes they can make."
Elle Fanning: "You're beautiful. I think that's important for people to know. It's not just about the outside appearance, it's about what's within. It's so important for women to support other women and for us to come together and be there for each other. And I think this year has really been a step forward in that direction. I hope it just becomes greater and greater."
Andie MacDowell: "You can do anything you want to do. No limits. You can do anything a man can do and more."
Aja Naomi King: "Yes. just say yes. We live in a world full of 'no's, and everyone is always telling each other how something's not possible and you can't do something. So regardless of what insane thing you want to be able to accomplish, I want everyone to not only be their first yes, but to be the first yes to someone else. Just say yes!"
During the event, Eva explained why her message aligns so well with L’Oréal Paris: "This for me is what the brand is about," she said. "This event is so great especially in today’s climate with what women are going through. This is an important moment for women and their worth, and we are going to be a part of it."
