Cardi B's 'Bodak Yellow' starts a dance party at New York subway station

There are not many places more intimidating than the New York City subway. There are certain exceptions to cutting that tension, and the power of music is one of them. On Sunday, (Dec. 3) a dance party broke out at the 42nd street 7th Avenue station when someone started blaring Cardi B’s anthemic “Bodak Yellow.” Normally monotone commuters from all demographics and ages joined in on the improvised scene.

For Cardi, "Bodak Yellow" has opened several doors for the Bronx MC, most notably a No. 1 record on the Billboard Hot 100 in September (where she stayed for three weeks). With the record currently sitting comfortably in the Top 10, fans are pondering if her next record will trump its predecessor.

The 25-year-old also gave an update on her upcoming single “Cartier Cardi,” which will be releasing on December 15. Between her new track and the “Motor Sport” video coming out soon, Bardi fans have a lot to look forward to as she closes out a historic 2017. Check out the impromptu scene that had everyone moving in unison below.
