Selena Gomez is a knockout in black leather at Billboard's Women in Music Awards

The most important Selena Gomez update is that she's healthy and stable just months after undergoing a frightening kidney transplant. But can we also say that she's looking better than ever?!

The newly-blonde singer was a red carpet knockout on Thursday at Billboard's Women in Music Awards, where she graciously accepted the honor of Woman of the Year.

Wearing a black Versace corset bodysuit and laser-cut high-waist leather pants, Selena became emotional as she spoke onstage, acknowledging close friend Francia Raisa for donating a kidney to her earlier this year.

"I think Francia should be getting this award," Selena said through tears. "She saved my life."

Francia and Elle Fanning presented the award to 25-year-old Selena together.

"I want people to know that I respect the platform I have so deeply because I knew I wanted to be part of something great," Selena said. "I wanted people to feel great."

Watch Selena's emotional speech in the video above.

Also taking their deserved spots onstage were fellow female artists Ciara and Kelly Clarkson. Ciara opted for a dramatic white gown while Kelly looked lovely in a sparkling black number.

See all their looks in the slideshow above -- and the first time Selena stepped out as a blonde in the one below.
