Kelly Clarkson turns 'Carpool Karaoke' into romantic date night with husband: Watch

Any working parent will tell you that finding time to get away from it all is hard. Now imagine being a mom of two young kids who also happens to be an international pop superstar with a new album to promote and the chances of having some quiet downtime with your partner are just about zero. Kelly Clarkson found a way to have it all on The Late Late Show on Wednesday night (Nov. 29), though, when she turned her "Carpool Karaoke" ride with host James Corden into a hit parade and a romantic date with hubby Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson and Corden got right down to business, busting into the singer's breakthrough 2004 hit "Since U Been Gone," which segued right into her latest smash, the soulful, "Love So Soft" from Kelly's Meaning of Life album, complete with that killer high note. Talk turned to the shout out Clarkson got in Hillary Clinton's book, What Happened, her facility at putting said babies to sleep with killer lullabies and dreams of being a marine biologist.

There was, of course, more singing, with Corden and Clarkson falling into perfect harmony on the sweeping "Because of You" and then James surprising Kelly with a cameo from Blackstock, who fed her chocolate strawberries and sparkling wine in the back seat as a violin player set the mood. "It's difficult because I work a lot and I'm a mom but we can try," Clarkson said of trying to find time alone while a clearly embarrassed Blackstock tried to get into it.

"I feel like we're making a porn," Brandon laughed, with Corden reprimanding him for ruining the romantic mood he tried to set while the pair got some time away from 3 year-old daughter River Rose, 19 month-old son Remington and Blackstock's 16 year-old daughter Savannah and 10 year-old son Seth.
