The Gotham Independent Film Awards brought together some of Hollywood's brightest stars for a ceremony that Variety dubs "the Iowa caucus of Oscars season."

On the red carpet before the ceremony, the star-studded crowd was uber stylish in a variety of looks that brought the glam to Downtown Manhattan.

"Mudbound" actress Mary J. Blige stole the show in a long-sleeved black Temraza gown with a thigh-high slit and gold detailing around the neck and across the torso. "Big Little Lies" star Reese Witherspoon rocked a similar black-and-gold number, though hers was short-sleeved and hit at the knee. Honoree Nicole Kidman rocked a sexy, sparkling blue dress with a plunging neckline.

Other notable looks came from Saoirse Ronan, Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, Carey Mulligan and more.
