Mariah Carey postpones Christmas tour due to doctor’s orders

Mariah Carey is postponing her Christmas tour — but don't worry, it will still come back just in time for Christmas.

The "All I want for Christmas is You" singer was ordered by her doctors to put the tour on hold and focus on her health.

She previously cancelled a few of the dates because she was suffering from a respiratory infection.

"I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones; it's certainly nice to remember what we are grateful for! Like most, I'm thankful for my overall health… for which I need a bit more time to get right," she explained on Instagram on Friday. "Doctors have ordered a few extra days of rest before I can finally fly to New York and take the stage for my Christmas Tour."

"While this news disappoints me to share, I am grateful to be on the mend and for the support from all of you + it means the world to me! See you from the stage soon darlings!" she continued.

Carey's tour will now kick off on Dec. 2 in New York City. It was initially scheduled for Nov. 27.

Those who purchased tickets for the Nov. 27, 28 and Dec. 1 performances will be issued a full refund.
