'DWTS' host Tom Bergeron blasted for 'lost control' comment about dancer Witney Carson

“Dancing With the Stars” host Tom Bergeron is under fire for a racy offhand comment he made about professional dancer Witney Carson on Monday’s show following her performance with partner Frankie Muniz.

@Tom_Bergeron that was so inappropriate towards Witney. And men wonder what #metoo is about,” one user tweeted, while another said, “please apologize to Witney Carson. Very mean comment and unnecessary.”

Carson and Muniz were waiting for the judge critiques after performing their waltz, and judge Carrie Ann Inaba pointed out only one flaw in their routine.

“So far for me, that was the closest thing to perfection. I mean, you are so exquisite when you dance, it’s just so clean,” she said, according to Entertainment Weekly. “I look for mistakes, but I don’t see them — except for when you almost lost control of Witney there."

Bergeron then piped up with the comment: “I’m guessing he’s not the first guy who’s lost control of Witney.” The remark was met with gasps from the live studio audience.
