Paris Jackson apologizes for poorly timed tweet

Paris Jackson is apologizing following an ill-timed tweet.

The 19-year-old landed in hot water with Twitter followers after tweeting, "why the f--k do people keep dying" in the wake of the deadly church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, on Sunday.

Less than an hour after sending the controversial tweet, Jackson apologized. She claimed she hadn't heard about the incident, which claimed the lives of at least 26 people, at the time.

Jackson went on to clarify that her initial tweet was about a friend and sent her love to the victims, friends and family members affected by the massacre at the First Baptist Church.

Not everyone was outraged by Jackson's initial tweet. Many users responded blaming guns and the National Rifle Association, clearly under the assumption the tweet was in reference to the earlier incident.

She hasn't said any more online since issuing her informal apology.
