Kris Jenner talks rich 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' deal

The Kardashians won’t be leaving the world of reality television anytime soon.

Kris Jenner broke down the Kardashian family’s latest deal with E! while visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (Nov. 3). Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been extended through 2020 with a rich new deal.

“And my cut is what?,” asked DeGeneres, who has famously played fake Kardashian sister Karla in a number of segments for the talk show.

Jenner gave DeGeneres a black purse as she dodged the host’s question. Along with the bag that reads "Karl" with an "a" added at the end by Jenner, she also gave DeGeneres a card. DeGeneres asked, “Is there cash in there?”

“Just a little something to show you I love you as much as I do your sisters,” DeGeneres read the card aloud. As DeGeneres fumbled to explain her disappointment with the lack of cash, Jenner said, “That’s cute, though.” The host responded, “No, it’s adorable. But there’s no money.”

DeGeneres then asked Jenner to address the rumor that it is her sole responsibility as executive producer to divide the large sum of money between the show’s stars. “It’s kind of a group decision. I’m lucky if I get paid,” Jenner joked. “Everybody gets paid pretty much equally ‘cause we all film a lot. We all work hard. We’ve all created this show and this brand for the last decade, so I think that was taken a little bit out of context.” The matriarch added, “Everybody’s happy.”

With the professional success of the Kardashian members outside of the show, the host questioned why the family continues to film the reality show when they are no longer in need of a platform. “It really is a great foundation for all the other things we do, so it kind of like one helps the other and we recognize that,” she said. “We really appreciate the fact that we’ve been so blessed to be able to do this for so long. It’s really an honor.”

When it came time to make a new deal, Jenner admitted, “We just weren’t ready to say ‘no.’ When our deal came up and they said, ‘Do you want to do it again?' We kind of took a vote.” She explained that it was easy for the family to reach a consensus. “We all agreed that we really would miss it if we weren’t doing it. I’m excited, and you never know what’s gonna happen on Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Jenner said of the upcoming seasons.

Jenner, however, remained tigh-lipped on whether daughters Khloe and Kylie are pregnant, as they're rumored to be. Before the segment concluded, DeGeneres asked, “Are you gonna get pregnant now?”

“Probably not,” she responded. “It just doesn’t feel right anymore.”

DeGeneres was quick to note that another pregnancy might benefit Jenner fanatically. “It’s another income,” said the host.
