Quentin Tarantino breaks silence on Harvey Weinstein allegations

Director Quentin Tarantino is "heartbroken" over the countless allegations of sexual harassment and rape against his longtime collaborator Harvey Weinstein.

Tarantino, who has been noticeably silent since women began accusing the Hollywood honcho of sexual misconduct last week, released a statement early Friday through his friend Amber Tamblyn's Twitter account.

"For the last week I've been stunned and heartbroken about the revelations that have come to light about my friend for 25 years Harvey Weinstein," the statement read.

"I need a few more days to process my pain, emotions, anger and memory and then I will speak publicly about it," he continued.

Tamblyn said she had a "long dinner" with Tarantino and he requested she share the statement regarding Weinstein. She then stated that she would be signing off Twitter along with pal Rose McGowan in order to boycott the site for blocking the "Charmed" actress on Thursday.

Tarantino has done all of his films with Weinstein, beginning with "Pulp Fiction" in 1994 through the producers then-company Miramax. The famed director's most recent flick with the Weinstein Co. was "The Hateful Eight" in 2015. Tarantino’s 2012 flick “Django Unchained” is the Weinstein Company’s highgest grossing movie, raking in a gross of nearly $163 million.

Weinstein was also slated to work with Tarantino on his upcoming Charles Manson film focused on the Tate family murders.

Just last month, Weinstein threw an engagement party for the 54-year-old after it was revealed he proposed to girlfriend, 33-year-old singer, actress and model Daniella Pick. The event was held at Socialista in Soho - the same club where a former Fox News reporter claimed Weinstein masturbated in front her in the hallway back in 2007.
