Chrissy Teigen says she and John Legend plan to use IVF for second baby

Chrissy Teigen is hoping to become a mama again.

Teigen, the cover star of InStyle's November issue, reveals that she and husband John Legend are planning to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) in hopes of having a second baby. The supermodel tells writer Christopher Bagley that she and Legend started with 20 embryos, but that number dropped to three because they had to find out what was "going to be good for [her] body."

"The first little girl didn't work, and then the second is Luna," added Teigen, whose daughter was born in April 2016. The last embryo is expected to be transferred to her womb in the coming months.

The Lip Sync Battle co-host has been open about IVF treatments in the past. In 2016, she shared the difficulties she endured while self-administering fertility shots during her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot in Zanzibar. "I had a little medical kit. It was hard because you bloat from it, and you bruise — if I hit the wrong area," she explained.

Tegien also addressed her battle with postpartum depression in her interview for the cover story.

"I thought I was just being a selfish a—hole," said Teigen, who penned an essay about suffering from PPD in Glamour magazine in March. "I have really good days and really bad days, and I don't tend to talk about the really bad days. But I would hate for people to think those days didn't exist."
