Ben Stiller brings daughter Ella Olivia, 15, as New York Film Festival date

Ben Stiller had an unexpected but lovely date this weekend: 15-year-old Ella Olivia, his daughter with ex-wife Christine Taylor.

Ella was by her dad's side Sunday at the New York Film Festival premiere of his new film "The Meyerowitz Stories," looking totally at ease on the red carpet. She paired an emerald green dress with a gold clutch and nude heels.

Ella and her brother, 12-year-old Quinlin Dempsey, rarely make public appearances with their famous parents. Stiller and Taylor announced their split in May after 18 years together.

Although she mostly stays out of the public eye, Ella actually has two major film credits to her name: She had small roles in her dad's "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" (2014) and "Megamind" (2010).

Stiller himself chooses not to spend too much time in the spotlight, either. He recently made headlines when he opened up about being cancer-free after a 2014 prostate cancer diagnosis.
