Demi Lovato shocks fans with birthday gifts at 'Tell Me You Love Me' album release party

Demi Lovato left two of her fans completely stunned Thursday night in New York City, unexpectedly offering them birthday gifts at her Tell Me You Love Me album launch party.

"I want to wish a happy late birthday to Nancy!" Demi said onstage as she clutched a handful of balloons before stepping down to offer the fan a hug. "Love you too."

She then produced a bouquet of flowers for another fan, Brianna, who later tweeted that she was "shell shocked."

Guests at the DEMI x JBL event were invited to try out the noise-cancelling JBL Everest Elite 750NC headphones to listen to Demi's new album.

While Demi doesn't have a favorite track, she admitted that recording "Lonely," which features Lil Wayne, was particularly exciting: "The inner hip-hop wannabe star that I am is freaking out!" she exclaimed during a Q&A session. "My inner rapper is going crazy."

The Tell Me You Love Me Pop-Up Shop is located at the High Line Gallery and will be open to the public Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
