Megyn Kelly doesn't 'want to talk about Trump all day' on 'Today'

‘Today’ is the day ex-Fox News anchor Megan Kelly kicks off her role as host of daytime TV.

“Megyn Kelly Today” will air during the 9 am hour of NBC’s “The Today Show,” and it will be shot in front of a live audience.

Despite the feud with President Trump boosting her public visibility to people who did not watch Fox News, Kelly told the Associated Press, “I don’t want to talk about Trump all day,” adding, “It’s not going to be the Trump channel.”

Instead, Megyn Kelly Today will be a mix of celebrity interviews, lifestyle segments, and news reports.

As she told USA Today, viewers will “understand what’s happening in their world, cultural issues, legal issues and a lot of times, personal issues, whether it’s something focused on a person’s marriage, or child-rearing, or quest for happiness or health or finances.”

She says she is ready for the world of daytime TV and says despite people telling her she can fail, she wants her audience to know that “you don’t make decisions out of fear.”

Kelly explains, “I could have made more money, I could have had more job security … that wasn’t what I wanted to do.”
