Erin Moran, Mark La Mura among actors left out of Emmys In Memoriam segment

More than 40 recently deceased actors, agents and other Hollywood figures received a brief moment of recognition at the Emmys on Sunday night -- but several names didn't make the cut.

Erin Moran, who played Joanie Cunningham on "Happy Days" and "Joanie Loves Chachi," was noticably absent from the tribute. She passed away in April 2017, well before the segment would have been finalized. However, timing may have been a factor for "All My Children" actor Mark La Mura, who died less than a week ago and was also absent from the segment.

New York Magazine writer Yashar Ali made note of other missed names, including Frank Vincent, Dick Gregory, Harry Dean Stanton and Charlie Murphy -- "but don't fret, they made room for Roger Ailes!" he tweeted.

The tweet clearly struck a nerve, eliciting more than a thousand retweets and dozens of incensed replies. One response came from POPSUGAR news and culture director Lindsay Miller, who replied, "I was at the show and I will say Roger Ailes did *not* play well in the room. At all."

Many of the actors excluded from the segment were included during an "In Memoriam" at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which was filmed the week before the Primetime Emmy Awards.
