Jennifer Lawrence, Michelle Pfeiffer wow at 'mother!' premiere at Venice Film Festival

This year's Venice Film Festival has showcased some of the best looks of 2017 -- but special recognition has to go to Michelle Pfeiffer and Jennifer Lawrence at the Tuesday premiere of "mother!".

The ladies co-star in Darren Aronofsky's psychological horror flick, but they looked anything but scary on the red carpet: Jennifer dazzled in Dior, while Michelle showed off her slim figure in a gold chainlink number.

Jennifer, 27, often wears Dior, for whom she's been an ambassador for five years, but this haute couture style is one of our favorites in history. The sheer bodice combined with an embroidered tulle ball gown is an appropriate nod to Jennifer's "playful and sexy" aesthetic.

Eternal knockout Michelle paired her sleek gown with sky-high black and gold stilettos and a coordinating clutch. The actress, 59, arrived arm-in-arm with husband David E. Kelley, reinforcing their spot as one of Hollywood's most glamorous couples.

Michelle and her hubby weren't the only famous duo at the Venice Film Festival: Earlier in the week, George Clooney smiled for the cameras alongside wife Amal, Matt Damon kept his arm firmly behind wife Luciana, and Julianne Moore couldn't stop grinning with husband Bart Freundlich.
