Judge Judy: 'CBS had no choice but to pay me what I wanted’

Turns out, Judge Judy Sheindlin is just as tough in real life as she is on TV.

The highest-paid TV personality gave some pretty compelling testimony in a lawsuit between CBS and talent agency Rebel Entertainment Partners.

The agency is suing the network, claiming their share in show profits is diminished by Judge Judy's $47 million dollar salary.

Now in a transcript obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Judge Judy in a videotaped testimony from 2016 says Rebel should be happy with the money they're getting.

The no-nonsense judge said, "CBS had no choice but to pay me what I wanted, because otherwise I could take it wherever I wanted to take it, or do it myself." Adding, "Their back's to the wall."

The judge adding the $20 million dollars Rebel made could instead go to her if she produced the show, but she doesn't do that because, as she says, "How much can you eat?"

Even more impressive, the judge recalled how every 3 years she re-negotiates her salary over dinner with the CBS president. She said, "We sit across the table, and I hand him the envelope and I say, 'Don't read it now, let's have a nice dinner. Call me tomorrow. You want it, fine. Otherwise, I'll produce it myself.' That's the negotiation."

Case closed.
