Britney Spears reveals her favorite of all of her VMAs performances

Britney Spears has had more than a few iconic moments at the MTV Video Music Awards over the years.

Between her kissing Madonna in 2003, draping a live snake around her neck in 2001 and stripping down to a sparkling, nude ensemble in 2000, she's had some of her most memorable career moments on that stage.

As Britney fans, we can't even begin to imagine picking our favorite one of her VMAs performances -- but can she?

Well, Britney unexpectedly took to her favorite social media platform (Instagram) on Thursday and revealed which of her VMAs performances ranks at the top of her list. To be sure, she had options: She performed "Baby One More Time" with NSYNC back in 1999, "Oops! I Did It Again" in 2000, "I'm A Slave 4 U" in 2001, "Like A Virgin" with Madonna and Christina Aguilera in 2003, "Gimme More" in 2007 and "Make Me" in 2016.

So, which is it?

"Remember when I brought a jungle to the #VMAs??" she captioned a photo from her iconic 2001 performance. "This was my favorite performance!!"

And there you have it: The Princess of Pop has spoken and her favorite moment on the VMAs stage was when she was holding a snake. Naturally.
