'Morning Joe' guest says 'Hollywood people' want to know when Trump will leave office (Video)

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" regular guest Mark Halperin said on Monday that he recently spent time in Hollywood and people there want to know when President Trump will leave office.

Co-host Joe Scarborough started the segment by saying: "I have been, I think it's safe to say, very negative about the president on Twitter and other people have been very negative, but this weekend there seemed to be a turn where a lot of people who were negative have started to talk about impeachment and have started to talk about, OK maybe he's going to resign now ... if Donald Trump is going to leave town.

"He's not going anywhere, is he Mark?" he asked.

Scarborough went on to call it "heartbreaking for anyone who loves America" and set up Halperin to explain that he spoke to a lot of Los Angeles residents who are ready for a new President of the United States.

"I spent three days in Hollywood talking to Hollywood people; they all just want to know when's he leaving," he said. "It's not if, they're all just like, 'What's the date when he's out of office?'"

Scarborough joked, "You went to the heart of America."

Halperin said that Hollywood liberals are "kind of the extreme" and they "simply want to know" when he's leaving office.
