Ben Affleck celebrates his 45th birthday with his kids: Details of the night

Happy birthday, Ben Affleck!

This week the actor turned 45, and he celebrated it in true dad fashion: The actor was joined by his three children for a family dinner at Barton G in Los Angeles.

Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 were accompanied by their nanny, according to E! News, and it's unknown whether ex Jennifer Garner stopped by. However, she was photographed earlier in the day outside a local bakery in Brentwood -- happily holding a birthday cake-sized dessert box.

A source also told E! News that a bundle of gold "45" balloons was delivered to Ben's house at some point during the day, but it's unclear who sent them.

Despite their ongoing divorce proceedings, Ben and Jennifer have spent much of this summer together with their kids in tow. Last month they spent the Fourth of July together, and in June they even embarked on a family trip to the Bahamas.

It's possible that Ben's new girlfriend, "Saturday Night Live" produced Lindsay Shookus, joined in on the birthday festivities -- but may be unlikely as "SNL" is preparing to move into production for season 43.
