French Montana on the success of 'Unforgettable': 'It's as sweet as French Vanilla'

French Montana is on an unforgettable ride.

The rapper, whose hit "Unforgettable" is currently in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, has been a brand ambassador for CÎROC for years, and he is now the first of the brand's influencers to have inspired one of its flavors.

In collaboration with Sean "Diddy" Combs, French Montana came up with the idea for CÎROC French Vanilla. The eighth variant of the iconic vodka brand will be released nationally in early October after a limited launch this month in select markets. The partnership is a dream come true for French Montana.

"I've been super close to Diddy for years," he explained to AOL Entertainment during an exclusive phone interview. "There's no better time than right now, when everything is on the up and up, you know? CÎROC is the best vodka in the world, so coming together on this French Vanilla flavor is perfect for me."

Not only is it a dream to essentially have his own flavor of vodka, but it was also an incredible moment for the star to continue to get the opportunity to work so closely with Diddy, who is an obvious mogul across multiple industries.

French told us that his work with Diddy was "a beautiful thing."

"When you look up to someone for years, it's surreal to get to collaborate on something like this," he said. "When you're dealing with the best, you want to produce the best [possible product]."

As for his recent surge in success on the charts fueled by "Unforgettable," the still-rising lead single off of his album of the same name? He had the perfect response when we asked him to describe the feeling.

"It's as sweet as French Vanilla," he said in a laugh. "It's been an unforgettable story and an unforgettable ride."
