Fans slam Chris Brown for commenting on Rihanna's Instagram

Rihanna's latest Instagram photos are some of her hottest ever, racking up millions of likes -- but there's one person who should have scrolled right past.

At least, that's according to Twitter, which descended into chaos when Chris Brown commented on one of his ex's recent posts. The sexy shot shows off Rihanna's traffic-stopping curves as she models a jeweled bra top and V-cut thong.

Much to her fans' disbelief, Brown weighed in with the shifty-eyes emoji -- which basically means, "You're hot and I'm staring."

People quickly screenshot the odd comment, just in case he were to delete it.

Rihanna has not commented publicly on the exchange. She's spoken candidly in the past about her ex, who pled guilty of felony assault against her in 2009. The graphic details of the repeated attacks continue to circulate online even eight years later, but his career hasn't substantially suffered: HE's since released multiple albums and still boasts a massive fan base.

"It's not a subject to sweep under the rug, so I can't just dismiss it like it wasn't anything, or I don't take it seriously," she told Vanity Fair in 2015. "But, for me, and anyone who's been a victim of domestic abuse, nobody wants to even remember it. Nobody even wants to admit it. So to talk about it and say it once, much less than 200 times, is like... I have to be punished for it? It didn't sit well with me."
