Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have chosen a surrogate, and she's 3 months pregnant (Report)

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly chosen a surrogate to carry their third child — and, according to Us Weekly, she's already three months along, meaning the baby will be delivered in January 2018. Kardashian's representative responded to The Hollywood Reporter's request for confirmation with "no comment."

Reports that Kardashian and West were planning to hire a surrogate first surfaced in June. Kardashian had also previously expressed a desire to grow her family, however, after two complicated pregnancies, conceiving and carrying a third child was considered too high-risk. The family of four instead looked into other options.

According to Us, Kardashian and West paid a surrogate agency $68,850 to help find the surrogate, a mother in her late 20s from San Diego. She will be paid $45,000 over 10 monthly payments of $4,500.

West has spoken openly about her pregnancy struggles, both during interviews and on her website. During her first pregnancy with North in 2013, Kardashian suffered from preeclampsia, a serious condition characterized by swelling, high blood pressure and a restriction of blood flow, as well as placenta accreta, a condition in which the placenta stays attached to the uterus rather than coming out after the child is delivered. After a surgery to remove leftover placenta, and a second surgery to remove the scar tissue, Kardashian was able to conceive Saint in 2015; however, she suffered from placenta accreta during his delivery as well.

"I've come to the conclusion in my mind that I can't carry another one," Kardashian West told mom Kris Jenner during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "So now I want to explore surrogacy."
