Princess Diana conspiracy theories: TLC to air 3-hour special on July 31

This summer marks the 20th anniversary since Princess Diana died in a horrific car crash. She was young, beautiful and beloved by the public -- which for two decades has left the world suspicious.

A new three-hour special examines the life and death of the iconic woman, taking a close look at the conspiracy theories surrounding her bizarre demise. "Princess Diana: Tragedy or Treason?" will premiere Monday, July 31 at 8 pm on TLC.

The feature will include exclusive footage, rarely-heard excerpts from past interviews with Princess Diana, and new insights into the pressing theories that have persisted for two decades. Several of Diana's close friends and her own bodyguard granted revealing on-camera interviews, as did a royal biographer and royal historian.

Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997, leaving behind her two young sons William and Harry. In recent months, the now-grown men have opened up about the devastation of losing their mother at such a young age -- and in such a public sphere.

The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive first look at the special, which you can watch here.
