Honey Boo Boo may follow in Mama June's footsteps with a new weight loss series

Here comes Honey Boo Boo -- but will we still recognize her?

11-year-old Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson is reportedly considering her own weight loss series, following the success of her mom's "Mama June: From Hot to Not." The show chronicled Mama June's journey from 460 pounds down to 160 as her daughters supported her along the way.

WE tv, the network behind Mama June's show, is reportedly pursuing a similar concept for Alana and her sister, 17-year-old Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon. One big challenge? Alana has previously said she refuses to diet: "I'm not jumping on any bandwagon, unless it has cheeseburgers and stuff," she recently said.

However, sources told OK! Magazine that it seems like she'll change her mind. "The girls are up for it, because the show will be all about them, and they'll have their own big paydays," the source claimed.

In addition to dieting, Mama June underwent surgical procedures to shrink sizes. It's extremely unlikely that either of her daughters would do such a thing, given their young ages and the fact that they aren't morbidly obese -- so if a show does move into development, it would likely chronicle simple diet and exercise.
