Alex Jones releases shocking 'behind-the-scenes' audio from Megyn Kelly interview, calls her a 'fraud'

Following the uproar surrounding his upcoming NBC interview with Megyn Kelly, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones released a shocking video on Thursday night revealing he secretly recorded his entire day with Kelly.

The two-minute video released on Twitter shares a snippet of behind-the-scenes audio of Kelly telling Jones that she finds him very "fascinating" and that she wants listeners to say "that was really interesting" after watching the interview. She also makes a promise that "it's not gonna be some gotcha-hit-piece."

Jones then pops onto the screen and revealed that he secretly recorded his entire conversation -- both on-camera and off -- during the day they shot the interview, which is something he's "never done in 22 years."

"I've never done this, but I knew it was a fraud," he exclaims.

"It was a lie," he continues. "God, she was like, 'I want to get steaks with you, I'm obsessed with you. Oh, my God!' wailing around in her seat. It was all crap, and I knew it was all a lie. I said, 'Sandy Hook happened...' everything she wouldn't put in the promo pieces."

"So, we're gonna release it [tonight]," he says. "Oh, yeah! We're going to release the pre-interview."

He goes on to call the interview a "fraud" and "crazy" and promises that people "will hear what I actually said."

"Tonight [on] infowars.com we're going to have the full behind-the-scenes released," he finishes. "It's the 21st century, and it's an info war!"

The shocking release comes after almost a week of back-and-forth between Kelly, Jones and critics online that criticized Kelly for normalizing Jones, who once famously claimed that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre that killed 20 children was a hoax. During the fallout, gun prevention group Sandy Hook Promise dropped Kelly from her hosting duties at Wednesday's Promise Champion Gala.

Kelly then took to Twitter to address the controversy and called Jones' Sandy Hook theory "revolting" while defending her decision to interview the controversial figure and said she wanted to "shine a light" on his divisive viewpoints.
