Country star Kip Moore talks about his new military initiative, his hit new single and his upcoming tour

It's no secret that country star Kip Moore is a man of many talents. Not only is he a multi-platinum singer-songwriter, he's topping the charts with his latest single, "More Girls Like You," and is also helping military personnel and their families all across the country -- and he told AOL all about the new initiative.

The singer is partnering up with Country Inns & Suites to launch the Military 1st initiative, which grants military personnel and their families discounted rates and other special perks at any Country Inns & Suites across America.

"I recognize that they are making the ultimate sacrifice," Moore said. "They are taking care of us each and every day."

The military is personal for Moore as his song "Battle Cry" was written specifically for the U.S. armed forces -- and once you take a listen, it's clear why Moore is so passionate about helping our servicemen and women.

As "More Girls Like You" continues to heat up the country charts, Moore said fans can expect his upcoming album to be very different from his two previous records.

"Topic-wise I try to write how I grow as an artist and as a person," Moore shared. "I never try to write or sing about the same things, I don't try to sing to young generations because I'm told to, I sing for the people that have come along with me on this journey."

The record, which is expected to be released later this summer, is something Moore has been working on for the past year. He dished on some details, saying fans will get to hear a lot of his musical influences such as Motown and classic '70s rock.

"You're never going to get the same record twice from me," he said.
