Nicole Kidman is lovely in lavender at the 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

She's a glamour girl!

Nicole Kidman looked lovely in lavender at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday night. The actress, who is just two weeks shy of her 50th birthday, received the award for Film Actress at the annual show honoring leaders in all industries.

The Aussie actress turned heads in a long-sleeved lace gown with black detailing all throughout that she paired with black stilettos. While Kidman looked gorgeous, the bizarre embroidering on the dress took away from the beauty of the rest of the gown.

She kept her shoulder-length blonde tresses in loose, carefree waves while keeping her makeup simple with a nude lipstick and a touch of blush.

While accepting her award, Kidman revealed that her 49th year has truly been "the best year of her life" -- and we can see why! Nicole has had tremendous success in the past year, including earning her fourth Oscar nomination. But with four films at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival to her name, we can only expect more from Kidman during the 2018 awards season.

"I thought at 40 that I'd be retired by 50, but I want to tell everyone it begins at 40 and begins at 50," she also added.

The accomplished star also paid homage to London in the aftermath of the terrorist attack that killed seven people.

"I'm so happy I'm here, in person, to give love back to London because London has given me so much. It is great to be standing here with you strong."

Nicole dedicated her award to director Sofia Coppola, who won Best Director at Cannes Film Festival. She became the first woman in 56 years to win.

And she even found some time in her speech to crack some jokes appropriate for the event!

"I'm changing my name to Nicole Kid-woman. Kidman is just wrong here," she said, referencing the magazine's 14th annual celebration of women.

Congrats to Nicole and all the winners. Check out the red carpet arrivals in the slideshow below:
