George and Amal Clooney welcome twins Ella and Alexander

The twins have arrived!

Amal Clooney gave birth to two beautiful babies, a boy and a girl, on Tuesday morning.

"This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days," his rep told People.

It seems like Amal's doctor was pretty spot on with her due date, as their bundles of joy were expected to arrive the first week of June. George hinted just last week that the twins could arrive at any moment after he didn't attend the Aurora Prize for Awaking Humanity event in Armenia on May 30.

"I really would have been [there] but if I came there and my wife had twins while I was there, I could never come home," he said in a taped video message to the audience.

The couple also remained mum about the gender of their babies throughout Amal's pregnancy, but close pal Cindy Crawford accidentally spilled the beans when she posted a pic of two onesies she got for the twins, one with pink lettering and the other with blue lettering.

Sources confirmed back in February that the couple, who tied the knot in 2014, were expecting. Since then, they've made major changes to their life, including a massive renovation of their estate just outside of London.

Amal made her glamorous baby bump debut at the Cesar Awards in Paris back in late February. She stunned in a white strapless gown with ombre white, gray and black plumage all along the skirt. While the human rights lawyer has stayed out of the spotlight for most of her pregnancy, she's hit it out of the ballpark with her outfits in the few times she has been seen in public.

As for George, he hasn't stopped raving about being a first-time father since the exciting baby news was revealed. He said in an interview back in February that he and Amal are "really happy and excited."

Congrats to the happy couple!
