Jamie Foxx talks about meeting legendary singer Prince

Jamie Foxx had everyone laughing at BUILD Series NYC this Tuesday during an interview promoting his new game show "Beat Shazam." Foxx is the host of the game show, which has teams race against the clock to identify the biggest hit songs of all time. Not only did he give exclusive details on the show, but he also told some funny stories about different celebrities, including late singing legend Prince. He met Prince once, and the meeting was one to remember.

Foxx is a mega fan of Prince and could not contain himself when he saw Prince for the first time while out with his mother at a concert.

"The first time I saw Prince I could not handle it. I knew everything about this dude! I actually met him December 31, 1998," he recalled. "We were in MGM Las Vagas, and I was going to see Morris Day at the time and I took my Mom to see him. I was just walking and I saw him and I was like, 'Oh, f--k!' I started saying stupid sh-t like, 'You know who you are, man?'"

Millions of people have lusted over how sexy Prince was and Foxx was one of those people. Even when saying the simplest things Foxx was turned on by the singer.

"I was like, 'Do you know who you are to me? You are everything to me!' He was like, 'Thank you so much. I appreciate it.' Motherf--ker was sexy! I said [to Prince], 'Bro, I know everything about you!'"

Foxx was in full fangirl mode when he saw Prince, and like any fangirl, Foxx had to ask Prince for a picture, but Prince was not feeling it.

"I made a mistake: I wanted a picture, and I said, 'Yo let me get a picture,' and I was using a throwaway camera. He [Prince] said, 'Oh I don't do those.'"

Even though Foxx has no photo evidence of the encounter, he remembers meeting his idol like it was yesterday.

"I didn't get a chance to get a picture, but it didn't matter I got the chance to kick it with him."
