Which makes us wonder: if the participants are winning a few thousand on a single project, how much are the HGTV's stars making?

The Property Brothers take the lead when it comes to net worth. Drew and Jonathan have had several hit series on HGTV, more than anyone who made this list. They also produce all their shows with their own production company.

E! News reports that the dynamic duo's collective net worth hovers between $5 and 10 million.

The second place goes to Love It or List It stars Hilary Farr and David Visentin. While she re-imagines a space, he's looking for a new one and while they do that they are making $7 million.

Controversial now divorced couple Tarek El Moussa and Christina pull in $4 million with their show Flip or Flop and a book deal.

And make some room for Chip and Joanna Gaines. The couple's show Fixer Upper is the most popular show on HGTV with 4.3 viewers. Together their net worth is $5 million but it's only gonna get better given their book deals, the Magnolia business and a spinoff on Fixer Upper that's in the works.
